What we collect, why, and how to reach us about it.
Lightshade Creative (“we,” “us”) operates https://lightshade.ca. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and respond to you. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t run advertising or cross-site tracking. Last updated July 2026.
What we collect
Inquiries. When you use the contact form we receive the details you send — your name, email address, the project type and budget range you select, and your message. We use these solely to read, scope, and reply to your inquiry.
Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand traffic and page performance (for example, which pages are visited and how quickly they load). This is measured without advertising cookies and is not used to identify you personally.
How we use it
Inquiry details are used only to correspond with you about your project. Aggregate analytics are used only to improve the site’s content, performance, and reliability. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who processes it
We rely on a small set of reputable service providers who process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards: Vercel (hosting and performance/traffic analytics), Resend(delivering inquiry emails to us), and, where enabled, a CRM to keep track of inquiries. These providers only receive what’s necessary to perform their function.
Cookies
The site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage used is limited to what keeps the experience working (such as remembering your light/dark preference), and our analytics are designed to be cookieless where possible.
Retention
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain our own business records, then delete it. Aggregate analytics contain no directly identifying information.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you’ve sent us. Send the request through the contact page and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. As we’re based in Canada, we handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves; material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date. Questions? Reach us any time through the contact page.
